Stop Tracking Tasks. Start Leading Projects.

GenAI training for project managers who are done being schedule police.

Name the Trap

Somewhere between this week's third status report and the meeting where you explain, again, why the timeline slipped, you stopped leading and started tracking. Most PMs land in one of three traps:

  • The Whiner — you complain about the bureaucracy. Nothing changes, because complaining isn't a strategy.
  • The Bureaucrat — you've become schedule police: task lists, status reports, timeline enforcement. Administration, not leadership.
  • The Methodologist — you hide behind Agile or Waterfall like a religion, following the process instead of exercising judgment.

You're excellent at execution. You just don't have a way out yet.

The Shift

Intentional Intelligence is the way out: using GenAI on purpose instead of by reflex. It runs on one discipline — Mirror, then Telescope, then Hammer. Look inward at what you're assuming. Look outward at what you're not seeing. Then act. Most people skip straight to the Hammer — drafting, deciding, building — and wonder why the output feels generic. It's generic because nothing came before it.

The Path

Think of this as a path, one you can join wherever makes sense for you — no rigid sequence required:

  1. Newsletter — one strategic-clarity idea a week, free.
  2. Talk — a real conversation about what you're stuck on. No pitch.
  3. Training — go deep, 1:1, on your actual project.

Why Trust the Method

[TESTIMONIAL SLOT -- future. No fabricated quotes ship here; see story-integrity.md.] CanvasPM is young — I don't have a wall of case studies to point you to yet. What I can show you is the method itself, in the open, not hidden behind a sales page. Every framework I teach is published on this site. Judge it on its own terms.

I teach the Four Pillars of Project Clarity developed by Terry Schmidt because it's the most practical tool I've found for helping PMs get clear on what a project is actually trying to achieve.
