You have the information. Nobody has asked you the right question yet.
90 minutes, one-to-one, on a real project you're carrying right now. $250. You leave with a one-page clarity document we write together on screen, before the session ends.

Who this is for
You're a project manager, or you do PM-shaped work under a different title. You're good at the job. And you have a project right now where something is off: the outcome sounds fine in the charter and dissolves when you try to explain it, or there's a meeting on Thursday you're walking into without knowing what you're asking for.
Book this if any of these describe your week:
- You have a live project with vague outcomes or stakeholders pulling in different directions
- You're preparing for a high-stakes meeting and want to walk in sharper than you currently feel
- Your plans keep coming back with "needs work" and nobody will say which part
- You're doing everything right and still spending your days reacting
That's 90 minutes on one project, with me asking the questions you haven't thought to ask yet.
Who should skip it
If you want to learn prompting technique or a tour of what AI can do, this will frustrate you. Every minute of this session is spent on your project.
It's also the wrong session without a specific project to work on, one you're running or about to run. A general question about how you work turns 90 minutes into a conversation about AI, which is the one thing this session refuses to be.
If that's you, start with The Intentional PM instead. Or email me and I'll point you to something better suited.
Who's running it
I'm Paul Stefanski. Thirty years in software implementation, watching how project managers work alongside systems, and watching the schedule get more attention than the thinking behind it.
Mirror → Telescope → Hammer is what I built out of that. It's the method behind everything I teach, and I keep these sessions to a few a week because I run every one of them myself.
I write the method up each week in The Intentional PM. Read a couple of issues before you book if you want to know how I think — right now that's the closest thing to a testimonial I have.
What happens in the 90 minutes
You answer eight short questions before we meet. About ten minutes of writing, and I read every answer beforehand, so none of your session goes to background I could have read on my own.
Then we run your project through three modes, in this order.
- Mirror. What are you assuming that you haven't tested?
- Telescope. Who's in the room, and what are they thinking?
- Hammer. What specifically do you do next?
| Time | Mode | What comes out |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00–0:15 | Setup | I reflect your project back as I understood it from your answers. You correct me. We name the real question in one sentence. |
| 0:15–0:40 | Mirror | At least three assumptions built into your plan, picked for what they'd cost you if they're wrong, each with a way to test it. |
| 0:40–0:42 | Checkpoint | Where we are against the clock, and what gets cut if we're behind. |
| 0:42–1:05 | Telescope | At least one person who can stop this project, modeled from their side: how they define success, and where they'll push back. Two or three people if the project has them and the clock allows. |
| 1:05–1:07 | Checkpoint | Same again. Hammer never gets cut. |
| 1:07–1:25 | Hammer | Your next move. A rebuilt outcome statement, the language for the hard conversation, the question you ask in the next meeting, and dated actions. |
| 1:25–1:30 | Close | I read the document back. You confirm it or change it. |
Most PMs reach for the hammer first, which is why projects drift. The order is the method.
I drive the AI on a shared screen throughout, so you install nothing and need no prior AI experience. You watch the method run on your own project, then you leave with the prompts and run it yourself.
What you leave with
The one-page clarity document. Written during the session, on screen, where you can watch it fill in and argue with it. You get the cleaned-up version within 24 hours. One page, enforced. It holds three things:
- Your assumption table. The beliefs your plan rests on, with a way to test each one before someone else tests it for you.
- Your stakeholder map. How each person who can stop this project defines success, and where the resistance is coming from. Modeled from what you already know about them, so it's a hypothesis you can test in your next conversation rather than a verdict.
- Your next move. The specific language for the conversation you're dreading, and a dated action.
Then four things that outlast the session:
- The Mirror / Telescope / Hammer prompt pack. The three prompts we used, rewritten to work in whatever AI tool you already have, with a worked example for each and a 20-minute version for pre-meeting prep.
- A stakeholder perspective worksheet. For the people we don't reach in the 90 minutes.
- Three follow-up prompts. Over the five days afterward, one per mode, ten minutes each, so the thinking continues without me.
- The recording and transcript. If you want them, your call when you book.
Want to see the document before you buy? Ask and I'll send you a filled-in example, labeled as invented. There are no real ones yet.
What this session doesn't include
There's no course, no video to watch beforehand, no slides, and no certificate at the end.
I'm also not going to fix your project. You'll leave able to see it clearly and say what you need to say. The decisions stay yours, and so does everything we produce.
What it costs
$250 for the 90 minutes, the clarity document, the prompt pack, and five days of follow-up.
This is founding-client pricing while I build the first case studies, and I'll tell you why it's this low: I need three delivered sessions, two people willing to say what they got out of it, and a session that runs to time without improvisation. Once I have those, the price moves toward $497.
You walk into the meeting you're preparing for as the person who framed the question. That's what the 90 minutes buys. And the weeks your project doesn't burn on the same unresolved question come free.
Book it personally or expense it, whichever is easier. If you need an invoice your finance team will accept, ask and I'll send one.
Total time cost: about ten minutes of questions before we meet, the 90 minutes, and three ten-minute prompts over the following week.
Book it
If you already know your project and you want the 90 minutes, book it. If you'd rather test the fit first, the second option costs nothing.

90 minutes, 1:1 on Zoom. Payment happens at booking, and the intake questions follow right away. Reschedule free up to 24 hours before. I need three days' notice to read your answers and prepare. If your meeting is sooner, book anyway and say so in the intake — I keep room for the urgent ones.
Bring the project to the fit call. We spend the 20 minutes on your actual situation, and I'll tell you straight whether the full session would help you.
Or email admin@canvaspm.net with a paragraph on your project and what's unclear. I reply within 24 hours on fit, including when the answer is no.
Questions people ask
How do I know this works? You don't, yet. This offer is new, nobody has been through it, and I'd rather tell you that than manufacture proof. What I can show you is exactly what happens in each block of the 90 minutes and exactly which documents you walk away with, both of which are on this page. Ask and I'll send you a filled-in example document, labeled as invented since there are no real ones yet, so you can judge the quality of the thinking for yourself.
What if I need to move it? Reschedule free up to 24 hours before, as many times as you need. Inside 24 hours you get one free move, no charge.
I already read your newsletter. Why pay for this? The newsletter is where I work out how PMs get clear, one idea a week, for any project. This is that method run on your project, with a document at the end. Reading about the method and having it run on your actual stakeholders are different purchases.
Can't I just run these prompts myself? You'll get the pack either way, and you should use it. What a prompt can't do is push back. The value is someone reading your answer and asking the follow-up you'd have skipped.
Do I need to know how to use AI? No. I drive the tools on a shared screen. You won't configure anything or write a prompt. The session works the same whether you've used AI for two years or two weeks.
What if my project is confidential? Describe it at whatever level you're comfortable with. Roles work fine in place of names. Mirror and Telescope work on the shape of the problem, and if part of your situation shouldn't go near an AI tool, say so at the start and we'll work that part by hand.
How is this different from coaching? Coaching works across time: how you develop as a PM over months. This is 90 minutes on one project and the clarity you need for it this week.
Can I bring a project I haven't started yet? Yes, if it's a project you're going to run. Mirror and Telescope do their best work before assumptions are baked into a plan that's expensive to revise. A hypothetical project won't give us enough to work with.
