What You'll Learn

Most AI ethics training is written for organizations. This one is written for you: a personal standard you build yourself, in your own words. Five modules:

1. Why Ethics Can't Be Generic — why organizational AI-ethics guidance doesn't produce a personal standard, and why moral language creates accountability that "issue" language doesn't.
2. The Ethics Landscape — what you actually agreed to the first time you used an AI tool, why PII and BII matter to PM work specifically, and how to validate, verify, and authenticate AI output before you stake your name on it.
3. The Seven Deadly Sins of GenAI — Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth, reframed as concrete AI misuse patterns with a PM-specific failure example for each one.
4. Building Your Personal AI Ethics Charter — the flagship module. Every prior module was preparation for this: you write seven first-person commitments, one per sin, grounded in your own practice.
5. Conclusion: Your Professional Standard — how to keep the charter a living document instead of a course artifact you file away.

You'll leave with three documents that belong to you: a Personal Discomfort Ranking, a Sin Self-Diagnostic, and a dated Personal AI Ethics Charter, written in your own voice.

Frameworks Covered

This course draws on the Seven Deadly Sins of GenAI (CanvasPM's own framework), the Center for Humane Technology's AI Roadmap, and John Jerome's Algorism framework.
